Tickle Your Senses

O ne way that I like to differentiate myself from other {lovely} girls is to have my very own scent. Perfume adds another dimension to a woman and is an extension of your personality. The perfume's fragrance should compliment and suit your style. Not everybody is suited for the same scent and finding the right one is an important yet fun step to smelling pretty as a daisy everyday. Remember that the signature fragrance you decide on reflects a tiny bit of your desires and self.

There are so many different fragrances to choose from! Here are a few tips that might make this a little easier for you. First of all you must decide where and where you will be wearing a particular fragrance. This will impact the concentration of the perfume you choose.  A difference in concentration is simply that- perfume concentrated to a certain degree. An Eau de toilette or Eau de cologne means that the concentration of the oil (scent) is much lighter than that of actual perfume. These can still provide you with the scent you desire but will not lat as long as the strength of the perfume. I for example, use an Eau de toilette when I am at varsity but splash out the real deal when I go out for dinner.

Now you choose the scent that compliments you the best. There are so many scents varying from sweet honeysuckle, rose and amber to the stronger scents of musk, sandalwood and patchouli. I personally prefer lighter, fruity scents such as tangerine, grapefruit, pear and apple. It is up to you to decide how you would like to portray yourself.

Think of factors of your everyday life such as work. You may want to choose a lighter fragrance that does not distract co workers but still reflects your personality. Sweeter scents may reflect nice and cute while an exotic, bold scent may reflect more of a bold personality. It is up to you.

Choose your perfume carefully and remember that the perfume you choose does somewhat reflect how a person perceives you. For example, if your perfume has an overpowering scent people may stray away from you while a light, flirty scent may draw people to you. Be creative! Try different brands and perfumes you wouldn't normally chose.

The time of day might also influence the scent you choose. I prefer lighter scents at day and heavier, stronger scents at night but the decision is ultimately yours. Some people have a signature fragrance while others chop and change with the seasons. Remember it is all about you!It should be suited to you and tickle your senses.***
