I t's that time of year again where I pack up my lil bags and head home for the long Easter weekend. For many this is just a nice long weekend where one can get away from work and pressure and deadlines, but for Christians this is something special....
Easter is the day we celebrate Jesus Christ rising from the dead. The Son of God gave His life to die for our sins and on the third day after He died-----Easter Sunday-----His friends went to his grave and found that He had risin from the dead. They saw an angel who told them: "Don't be afraid! I know you are looking for Jesus, who is crucified. He isn't here! He has been raised from the dead, just as He said it would happen."
Jesus rose from the dead on Easter Sunday and now offers each and everyone the gift of eternal life and the forgiveness of their sins. So this Easter when you are relaxing at home, hiding easter bunnies in the garden or eating chocolate eggs after dinner, remeber the story of Jesus and remember that if you choose Him you are saved. ***
